ABOUT SHEILA LOPEZ

          Sheila’s first professional stage production was with Ms. Celeste Legaspi’s Musicat in Revue in Subac and Enchanted Kingdom. This was followed by other plays under Musical Theater Philippines, namely Fire Water Woman, Sino Ka Ba Jose Rizal as Leonor Rivera, and Alikabok as Trining.

           She also got to work with other professional productions like Tanghalang Pilipino for Ilustrado ang Buhay ni Rizal at CCP and on national tour where she got to play the role of Tottie Beckette.  Soon she found herself performing for Philstage as Perla Adea, in Philstage is Together Again at Edsa Shangrilla Mall.

           Soon enough she got to work for Gantimpala Theater Foundation, her home base where she took her acting workshop.  She became a dancer for Nanette inventor’s Buding For Senator and soon got the role of Sisa in Kanser.

           Her latest performance was with Trumpets doing the role of Baby Rabbit in The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe.

           Sheila is now rehearsing for Ryan Cayabyab’s latest creation, Buwan (Juan Luna the opera), which will be staged at the CCP main theater in February 2003.

           Sheila is also a regular Host for Batibot as Ate Celia.

           She may seem busy rehearsing for her plays, doing TV & movie guestings and performing for Batibot Live shows, but she makes sure that her main priority is her mission for Supervoice Music & Theater Foundation, which she started in 1996. For more details on Supervoice, click here.
